ohn Monash Scholarships are open to outstanding Australians with demonstrated leadership skills who are studying or working in areas of potential benefit to Australia. The Scholarship offers recipients the opportunity to undertake postgraduate studies in any field at any international institution.

Applications open on the 1st of May and close on 14^th July at 11.59pm after which your application will be forwarded to our review panels. Please ensure your referees have submitted their reports before applications close or your application can not be forwarded to our review panels. We will let you know by mid August if you are invited for interview. Interview dates are available on our website: www.johnmonash.com/applications

Between 15 and 20 postgraduate Scholarships are available each year, depending on the quality of the candidates, each valued at AUD $70,000 per year for a maximum of three years (up to AUD $210,000 ). Please note, the length of funding years is measured by the length of your proposed postgraduate degree at a full time study mode.

Core Selection Criteria:

• Outstanding Intellect – demonstrated by excellence in the Applicant’s field. This is usually demonstrated by having completed or be about to complete a university degree or degrees with outstanding results, but can also be demonstrated through performance and exhibitions, publications, or professional recognition;

• Leadership – demonstrated and potential – within or outside of an Applicant’s field of study or professional field;

• Citizenship – commitment to an issue of importance;

• Program – a well-justified research project or study program to be conducted at an overseas University;

• A Proposed Career which will be of benefit to Australia;

• Referee reports supporting the Applicant’s proposal.
